'ECO-FRIENDLY DENTAL IMPLANTS'- PRESENT AND FUTURE PERSPECTIVES- A REVIEW.

ABSTRACT Green dental implants are a new way to do restorative dentistry that combines sustainability with cutting-edge clinical performance. These implants are made mostly of recyclable titanium or biocompatible zirconia and are designed to have as little of an effect on the environment as possible. They are made with eco-friendly materials, energy-efficient processes, and biodegradable surface coatings made from natural sources like plant extracts and biowaste hydroxyapatite. Green implants are different from regular implants since they focus on lowering carbon footprints, using digital technologies (such 3D printing) to reduce waste, and increasing bioactivity to speed up osseointegration. They have benefits including being antibacterial, looking better, and lasting longer, which means you won't have to replace them as often. But there are certain problems, like greater initial costs, a lack of long-term data for some materials (like zirconia), and the need for green dental practices. This abstract looks at the pros and cons of green dental implants, focusing on how they might help improve sustainable oral health care. Keywords: Green Dental Implants, Eco-friendly Sentistry, sustainable materials, Biodegradable coatings.
