Kronopolites biagrilectus Hoffman 1963
Kronopolites biagrilectus Hoffman, 1963 Fig. 4 Material examined. Vietnam • 1 male; Dien Bien Province, Muong Nhe Natural Reserve; 22.29225°N, 102.38603°E; 784 m a. s. l.; natural forest; 7 May 2018; Hung D. Nguyen leg.; IEBR-Myr 756. Diagnosis. The species is similar to K. acuminatus (Attems, 1937), but distinguished by the form of gonopod processes a and b (process a shorter than process b in K. acuminatus, vice versa in K. biagrilectus). Distribution. Widely distributed in southern China (Golovatch 2020) and Vietnam (this study). Remarks. The species was proposed as a subspecies, K. acuminatus biagrilectus Hoffman, 1963, and considered as a northern form of K. acuminatus acuminatus. The only difference between the two species is the length ratio of processes a and b. The species is recorded herewith from Vietnam for the first time. Our specimen fits well the description of Hoffman (1963).
