The use of competency-oriented tasks in teaching a foreign language

The article deals with the issue of using competence-oriented tasks in foreign language classes, with the help of which students’ independent, educational, cognitive, research and project activities are effectively organized. It is noted that the use of such tasks can solve several problems which contributesto the formation of professional communication skills in a foreign language.
