On some modern trends in linguistic expert examination of trademarks

The paper is devoted to one of the modern trends of using linguistic knowledge - lin-guistic expert examination, which is considered on the example of expert examination of so-called trademarks. It is shown that in modern conditions the existing methodology of expert examination of these designations for confusing similarity is insufficient. This conclusion is explained by a specific example of linguistic expert examination conducted by the author.
