Linguoculturological aspect of translation of secondary nominations of animals (based on the material of the parallel corpus)

This article deals with the peculiarities of translation of zoomorphic units. The material used is examples from fictional texts of the French-Russian parallel subcorpus of the Na-tional Corpus of the Russian language. Conclusions are drawn that for the translation of zoomorphic units with an expressed national and cultural connotation it is mostly typical to use transformations without preserving or with the replacement of the original zoo-component.
