On the issue of affix word-formation in Chinese chemical compound nomenclature

The article is dedicated to the issue of affix word-formation in the Chinese chemical compound nomenclature. The article reviews the word-formating units considered as productive affixes, examines their nature and analyzes the validity of classifying these units as affixes.
