Improving Patient Experience During Radiotherapy: Insights from a Field Study at Charité

Patient experience is an increasingly important indicator of care quality—especially in emotionally and physically demanding treat- ments like radiotherapy. This field study conducted at Charité’s Campus Virchow used HCI methods to explore patients’ needs, frustrations and coping strategies. The findings highlight key areas for improvement in information access, hospital navigation and patient-staff interaction.
