UK Open Access Negotiations and the Future of Academic Publishing: a brief update

By the end of 2025, many of the current read and publish agreements between UK universities (negotiated by Jisc) and the “Big Five” academic publishers (Elsevier, Springer Nature, Wiley, Taylor &amp; Francis, and Sage) will expire.
