A Comparative Study of Wang Yangming’s View of Health Preservation and the Concept of Emotional Health in Traditional Chinese Medicine—Taking the Emotional Thoughts Discussed by the Two as an Examples
Wang Yangming’s concept of health preservation and the concept of traditional Chinese medicine emotional health preservation both belong to the important plates of traditional Chinese health preservation theory, and there are similarities and differences in theoretical connotation and specific practice. Emotional thought makes a comparative study of the two: both agree that emotions have an impact on health, Wang Yangming advocates that “heart” is the master of everything, with the goal of achieving “conscience”; Wang Yangming emphasizes “to conscience” and “punishing anger and suppressing desire”, while traditional Chinese medicine advocates the use of the “cure before disease” model, although the two are different in terms of theoretical connotation and practical path, but they all show that traditional Chinese scholarship attaches great importance to health preservation, and has important guiding significance for the physical and mental harmony and health model of today’s society.
