Optimizing Recycled Plastic Aggregate Concrete with Supplementary Cementitious Materials for Sustainable Construction

The increasing incorporation of recycled plastic aggregates (RPA) in self-compacting concrete (SCC) offers solutions to both waste management and sustainable construction challenges. This study investigates the impact of adding supplementary cementitious materials (SCMs) such as fly ash, slag, and silica fume to RPA-based SCC (RPA-SCC). The goal is to improve the performance characteristics of RPA-SCC while maintaining its environmental benefits.
