Assessing the influence of chronic cannabis use on postural control and brain function in people with multiple sclerosis
People with multiple sclerosis (PwMS) frequently experience postural control deficits that elevate their risk of falls and negatively impact quality of life. Cannabis use is prevalent among PwMS as a strategy for managing symptoms such as pain, spasticity, and anxiety. However, the effects of long-term cannabis use on postural control and related brain function remain insufficiently understood. This study aimed to examine the biomechanical, neuroanatomical, and neurophysiological correlates of postural control in PwMS with and without chronic cannabis use.
