The Evaluation of Transitional Living Housing
The evaluation examines the Transitional Living Program at Humphrey Recovery House, a key component of the Assisted Recovery Centers of America (ARCA), which supports individuals recovering from substance use disorders. The evaluation assessed residents' satisfaction with the physical environment and the program's overall impact on their well-being. Findings indicate that residents highly value the safe, clean, and drug-free housing, as well as therapeutic supports such as group sessions and peer interactions, which contribute to their recovery. Areas for improvement include expanding housing capacity and enhancing employment and skill development opportunities. Based on these insights, recommendations include increasing housing availability, strengthening employment programs for the residents to acquire skills for easy integration, and providing post-housing support to promote sustained recovery. This evaluation provides actionable guidance for ARCA leadership and stakeholders to improve service delivery and expand the effectiveness of transitional living programs and the successful recovery journey to eliminate recidivism.
