DEVELOPMENT OF A METHOD FOR CALCULATION OF THE DESIGN OF CONDUCTIVE CORESOF RESISTIVE HEATING CABLES BASED ON COMPUTER MATHEMATICAL MODELING

The article is devoted to the development of a method for calculating the design of conductive cores (CC) of resistive heating cables based on computer mathematical modeling. The purpose of the work is to develop a calculation method that would help a potential developer solve several problems simultaneously. These problems include: dependence of linear electrical resistance on 3 initially unknown quantities: specific electrical resistance of the wire material, the number of wires in the CC and their diameter; the need to take into account the temperature coefficient of electrical resistance of the CC material; the presence of a wide range of wires used; the need to take into account the tolerance for cable electrical resistance. This article considered the main mathematical relationships that formed the basis of the proposed method. The main stages of the development of the method were also proposed for consideration. In order to achieve the required calculation results with optimal accuracy, it was decided to resort to the use of computer mathematical modeling using the MS Excel program. This program allows you to present a large amount of information in tabular form, while providing automation of the calculation, which in turn reduces the labor intensity of its implementation. Various operating conditions of resistive heating cables lead to the need to change their performance characteristics, in particular - to change the design of the CC. Based on this, automation of the calculation process is an urgent problem facing the developer.
