MODERN APPROACHES TO BUSINESS PROCESS MANAGEMENT IN CONDITIONS OF ECONOMIC INSTABILITY

The article explores modern approaches to business process management under conditions of economic instability, emphasizing the relevance of process-oriented models for enhancing enterprise efficiency and resilience. It outlines key types and structures of business processes and presents a comparative analysis of diagnostic methods such as SWOT analysis, benchmarking, process modeling using BPMN notations, and ranking by key success factors (KSFs). A particular focus is given to the integration of crisis management with process diagnostics, including the identification of "bottlenecks" and problem zones. The study substantiates that business process restructuring serves as a strategic tool of anti-crisis management by optimizing costs, reducing operational time, and adapting to external disruptions. The article proposes an algorithm for improving business process management that includes evaluation, diagnostic tools, and restructuring mechanisms, while highlighting the role of digital technologies and innovation in ensuring business sustainability. The experience of enterprises shows that an important condition is the involvement of both management and direct performers in the diagnostic process. It has been proven that in modern conditions it involves not only a change in the organizational structure, but also a rethinking of the logic of processes in accordance with new challenges. It is important that in a strategic perspective it is important to integrate innovative solutions, digital technologies and flexible planning to ensure the sustainability of the business model; to combine process restructuring with an adaptive development strategy, which allows the enterprise not only to survive in conditions of instability, but also to develop. Through the use of simulation modeling and value analysis, enterprises can redesign processes “from scratch,” streamline resource use, and ensure alignment with strategic objectives. The research concludes that effective business process diagnostics, when combined with crisis transformation strategies, allows enterprises not only to survive during instability but to evolve and grow in highly volatile environments. Recommendations are provided for building adaptive and resilient process structures capable of responding to rapid market changes.
