Implementasi Pelaksanaan Pengelolaan Rekam Medis Elektronik di Puskesmas Buntu Batu Kecamatan Buntu Batu Kabupaten Enrekang
Community Health Centers (Puskesmas), as first-level health facilities, have a strategic role in supporting the Healthy Indonesia program by providing quality promotive, preventive, curative, and rehabilitative services. One form of innovation to improve service quality is the implementation of Electronic Medical Records (EMR), which aims to improve the efficiency, accuracy, and availability of patient health data in real time. This study aims to describe the management of EMR at Buntu Batu Community Health Center, while identifying challenges and supporting factors for its implementation. The method used is qualitative research with data collection through direct observation and in-depth interviews with related health workers. The results show that EMR management at Buntu Batu Community Health Center has been implemented in stages in several clinics, with a more structured input, storage, and reporting system compared to the manual system. The use of EMR helps speed up the recording process, minimizes recording errors, and facilitates data access for service purposes and health program reporting. However, some clinics still implement manual recording due to the limitations of EMR features that are not fully in line with service needs. The main obstacles include limited training for staff, technical problems such as internet connection and electricity supply, and limited physical storage facilities for supporting documents. In terms of human resources, the number of staff is considered adequate, but technical competency in operating EMRs still requires improvement through routine training and ongoing mentoring. This study recommends improving information technology infrastructure, developing EMR features tailored to primary care needs, and implementing ongoing training programs for healthcare workers. Optimal implementation is expected to strengthen the role of Community Health Centers (Puskesmas) in an effective, efficient, and integrated primary healthcare system.
