P‐175: Short‐Range Lurch Control In‐Plane Switching Mode with Negative Dielectric Anisotropy Liquid Crystals

Shortening the response time of liquid crystals is crucial for improving the motion characteristic of liquid crystal display (LCD) technology. We report on short‐range lurch control inplane switching using negative dielectric anisotropy liquid crystals, which exhibit faster response times than positive ones. Our findings suggestflow during reorientation, offering insights for future LCD improvements.

Abstract

Shortening the response time of liquid crystals is crucial for improving the motion characteristic of liquid crystal display (LCD) technology. We report on short‐range lurch control inplane switching using negative dielectric anisotropy liquid crystals, which exhibit faster response times than positive ones. Our findings suggestflow during reorientation, offering insights for future LCD improvements.
