DIGITALIZATION AS A FACTOR IN INCREASING THE COMPETITIVENESS OF THE RUSSIAN ECONOMY IN CONDITIONS OF GLOBAL INSTABILITY

In conditions of global economic instability, digitalization is becoming one of the key factors in increasing the competitiveness of the Russian economy. The article analyzes the impact of digital technologies on the development of various sectors of the economy and substantiates the importance of digital transformation for the formation of sustainable competitive advantages and investment growth. Indicators of digital development, regional differences, as well as the main problems impeding the further advancement of digitalization are examined. Particular attention is paid to issues of staffing the industry and international comparison of the share of ICT specialists. Conclusions are drawn about the need to systematically improve the digital infrastructure, increase the level of digital literacy of the population and support the IT industry.
