Sustainable Livelihoods for Small Holder Indian Farmers: The Role of Optimized Supply Chains in Agriculture

The study investigates how enhanced supply systems can assist small farmers in India. Agriculture is paramount in India, yet small farmers face many challenges. Productivity among small farmers is often low, and they face decreased access to markets. Sometimes prices can be rather uncertain, and other times ecological concerns do exist. The research shows how digital tools and better logistics can help increase farmers' income, cut down on food waste, and make better use of resources. Using a specific research method, the study identifies key factors that affect the livelihoods of these farmers. The results show that improving supply chains helps small farmers economically. It also helps them participate more in markets and promotes sustainability. The study points out that government support, cooperative groups, and new farming techniques are key to long-term agricultural success. In summary, the research concludes that using technology, investing in rural infrastructure, and making good policies are crucial for improving India's agricultural supply chains and the lives of many small farmers.
