DEVELOPMENT OF A METHOD FOR SELECTING WIRE BEFORE TWISTING CONDUCTIVE COREOF RESISTIVE HEATING CABLES

The article is devoted to the development of a method for selecting wire before twisting conductive cores (CC) of resistive heating cables. The purpose of the work is to develop a method that allows to eliminate several problems that arise during the manufacture of CC. These problems include: instability of electrical resistance of the wire along the entire length; deformation (stretching) of the wire or CC during technological operations, leading to an increase in electrical resistance; different standardization (or its absence) of permissible values of electrical resistance for various wire materials. This article considered the main stages of developing the method, and also gave recommendations on the presentation of the obtained results of wire selection, taking into account its actual electrical resistance. The proposed method was developed on the basis of the MS Excel program. This program allows you to present the necessary information in tabular form, while linking the tables with formulas, thereby ensuring the automation of the calculation and obtaining the result with minimal operator involvement, which reduces labor costs and the likelihood of obtaining an erroneous result. It should be noted that the method of selecting wire before twisting the TPZ is an addition to the method of calculating the design of conductive cores given in the article [1]. These methods allow you to minimize the likelihood of manufacturing a cable that does not meet the requirement for the value of electrical resistance and consumed electrical power.
