Some features of land management in areas of intensive oil and gas production in the territories of the Far North

The article presents the development and characteristics of the oil and gas complex in the northern regions. At present, the issue of ensuring safety and taking measures to protect the environment is particularly acute. The authors propose the model diagram for a possible problem situation in the oil and gas complex, aimed to reduction of risks and preservation of the natural environment. The authors also underline the main tasks that must be solved when organizing the rational use and protection of land at different levels of land use. The recommended environmental protection measures in areas of intensive gas production are considered in this paper as well.
