33‐2: Distinguished Student Paper: High‐Efficiency Low‐Crosstalk Red AlGaInP MicroLEDs with Continuous Multiple Quantum Wells for Low‐Power AR Glasses
By redirecting the reflected wave and implementing meta‐atoms in the device structure, the light extraction efficiency of continuous multiple‐quantum‐well red AlGaInP microLED is improved by ~30% while suppressing the crosstalk between adjacent pixels. By implementing carbon black matrix, the crosstalk is reduced by 5 times while maintaining a high efficiency. These high‐efficiency red microLEDs help reduce the power consumption and improve image quality of emerging fullcolor AR eyeglasses.
