Control and debugging of the spaceborne radar computer

Problem Statement. Testing and debugging of the computer of the spaceborne radar station (RLS) is a critically important task, as the accuracy of radar signal digitization and subsequent data processing depend on its operation. One of the issues that arises during development and testing is the need to simulate the operation of external devices, such as the synchronization signal generator. Objective. The objective of this work is to develop a module for the control console firmware based on FPGA that simulates the operation of the synchronization signal generator, ensuring synchronization and correct data transmission in the spaceborne radar system. Results. A module has been developed based on FPGA for the control console that simulates the operation of the synchronization signal generator. The tests conducted confirmed that the developed firmware portion correctly mimics the operation of the actual synchronization signal generator. Practical significance. The developed FPGA firmware for the control console simplifies and accelerates the testing process of the spaceborne radar computer by simulating the operation of the synchronization signal generator. This solution enhances diagnostic accuracy and improves system synchronization during ground tests, thereby reducing the risk of errors when commissioning the computer.
