PEMANFAATAN EKSTRAK DAUN SUNGKAI (Peronema canescens Jack) SEBAGAI ANTIOKSIDAN PADA SABUN MANDI PADAT

Solid bath soap with added natural ingredients is increasingly in demand by the public. Natural ingredientsthat can be added to soaps such as sungkai leaf extract contain bioactive compounds in the form oftriterpenoids, alkaloids, flavonoids, phenolics, steroids and saponins have antimicrobial and antioxidantactivities. Antioxidants are useful for inhibiting skin damage caused by free radicals and repairing damagedskin cells. This study aims to determine the effect of the addition of sungkai leaf extract on the physicalproperties, chemical properties and antioxidants in solid bath soap. In this study, maceration extraction ofsungkai leaf powder was carried out using 96% ethanol solvent. The manufacture of solid bath soap issupplemented with sungkai leaf extract with volumes of 2, 4, 6, 8 and 10 mL. Analysis of solid bath soapquality with organoleptic test parameters, pH degree foam stability, moisture content, free fatty acids, freealkalis, and antioxidants. The added sungkai leaf extract affects the physical, chemical and antioxidantproperties of solid body soap. The best solid bath soap in addition to 10 mL of sungkai leaf extract has adense texture, smooth surface, very dark green color, distinctive aroma of sungkai leaves, pH value of 9.7,foam stability of 95.71%, moisture content of 3.35%, free fatty acid content of 1.01%, free alkali content of0.04% and IC50 of 52.264 mg/L in accordance with SNI 3532:2021
