An HD-EEG Database to dissect Somatosensory Awareness from Task Relevance and Report

The database includes high-density EEG data recorded from a cohort of 30 healthy subjects during electrical median nerve stimulation (right wrist) delivered at each participant's individual sensory and motor thresholds increased by 10%. The experimental paradigm consists of two blocks: No Report (NR) and Report (R). In the NR condition, participants passively perceived two sets of 100 tactile stimulations (duration: 0.2 ms), spaced randomly between 1 and 2 seconds. The first set was delivered at 10% above the participants’ motor threshold (MT+10%), while the second was delivered at 10% above their sensory threshold (ST+10%). The R block featured 40 sequences of unimodal stimuli, either tactile or visual. Tactile intensities were presented at ST+10% for 20 sequences and MT+10% for the remaining 20. In this block, participants followed on-screen instructions to count either the visual stimuli (report-task-irrelevant, R-TI condition) or tactile stimuli (report-task-relevant, R-TR condition) in each sequence.
