Modeling and availability analysis of automotive components manufacturing industries in Rohtak district: The dilemma between aluminium and cast iron

The use of lighter metals in place of traditional Cast Iron (CI) in the production of automobile parts is a topic of discussion in the Rohtak District. Aluminum alloys are increasingly seen as a more environmentally friendly substitute for older materials due to their reduced weight. In contrast, this argument usually ignores the energy required for fundamental resource extraction and component manufacturing. In order to calculate the total energy needed to build an engine cylinder block in the Rohtak District utilizing (a) cast iron and (b) aluminum alloys, this study carried out a thorough literature review. Data from more than 100 automakers, ranging from consulting firms to mining industries, was gathered to support the validity of the findings. In order to present the environmental impact of manufacturing engine blocks made of these materials in terms of energy burden, the

Abstract

The use of lighter metals in place of traditional Cast Iron (CI) in the production of automobile parts is a topic of discussion in the Rohtak District. Aluminum alloys are increasingly seen as a more environmentally friendly substitute for older materials due to their reduced weight.
