42‐1: Spatial Light Modulator with Phase and Amplitude Control for Holographic Displays

A single layer phase and amplitude spatial light modulator for holographic displays is proposed. The device is 0.7 microns thick and can achieve >1.97 π phase control for 30‐90% intensity, and more than >1.34 π phase modulation for 20‐30% intensity.
