P‐95: An Image‐Based Quantitative Metric of See‐Through Optical Quality for Displays

This paper proposes an image‐based metric to quantify the seethrough optical quality of the transparent displays. The experiment included a visual assessment along with the optical metrology for the transparent display. Results revealed that the Complex‐Wavelet Structural Similarity index had a high correlation with the perceptual sharpness of see‐through images.

Abstract

This paper proposes an image‐based metric to quantify the seethrough optical quality of the transparent displays. The experiment included a visual assessment along with the optical metrology for the transparent display. Results revealed that the Complex‐Wavelet Structural Similarity index had a high correlation with the perceptual sharpness of see‐through images.
