Uso de Kahoot! en el proceso de enseñanza-aprendizaje en la Educación Superior
This study analyzes the impact of using Kahoot! in the teaching-learning process in higher education, focusing on its influence on student motivation, participation, and knowledge retention. A quasi-experimental mixed-methods research was conducted at the Technical University of Machala (UTMACH), with a sample of 57 students from the Pedagogy of Experimental Sciences program, divided into an experimental group using Kahoot! as an assessment tool and a control group following traditional methods. The methodology included weekly sessions structured in three phases: theoretical instruction, interactive quiz application, and discussion with feedback. The results showed that using Kahoot! enhances motivation and classroom participation, with a high percentage of students stating that the tool makes classes more dynamic and engaging. However, challenges such as the digital divide and limited depth in learning when used as the sole resource were identified. It is concluded that Kahoot! is a valuable complement within broader pedagogical strategies, although its long-term effectiveness requires further studies evaluating its impact on the development of higher-order cognitive skills.
