Desarrollo de competencias STEM desde un enfoque interdisciplinario en Bachillerato Técnico

This paper addresses the development of STEM competencies from an interdisciplinary approach in technical high school students from public institutions, this educational model seeks to articulate science, technology, engineering and mathematics through active, collaborative and contextualized methodologies, responding to the current challenges of technical education. The main objective was to analyze the incidence of the interdisciplinary approach in the development of STEM competencies in technical high school students. The methodology used was qualitative, with a descriptive-exploratory approach and documentary-bibliographic design, inductive-deductive theoretical methods were applied, using documentary analysis of scientific sources from the last five years in Spanish and English. Among the most relevant results, eight original strategies were identified, applicable in technical high school, which favor curricular integration, critical thinking, real problem solving and student autonomy; these strategies demonstrated viability, pedagogical relevance and transforming capacity in vulnerable contexts. In conclusion, it was found that the interdisciplinary approach in technical education allows the formation of competent, creative students committed to their environment, reaffirming the need for policies that strengthen these practices in the educational system.
