Duo Señas: Aplicación móvil para conocer y practicar inclusivamente la Lengua de Señas Mexicana (LSM) mediante metodologías ágiles y tecnologías multiplataforma
In a context where the communication gap continues to exclude thousands of people, Duo Señas emerges as a disruptive mobile solution. Developed with Flutter, this application goes beyond the traditional concept of a Mexican Sign Language (LSM) dictionary by integrating an interactive pedagogical model designed to promote accessible and efficient learning. Aimed at a historically marginalized population, the 2.3% of Mexicans with hearing disabilities (INEGI, 2020), the platform combines structured didactic sequences, adaptive exercises, and immediate visual feedback, all under a gamified approach that enhances user retention and motivation. More than a technological tool, Duo Señas represents a breakthrough in digital inclusion, aligned with the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) in education and inequality reduction. Its design, based on active learning methodologies, demonstrates how software engineering and social sciences can converge to generate real impact. This project invites reflection on technology's role as a facilitator of human rights, in a world where communication should not be a privilege but a guarantee.
