Report on standardized protocols
Report on standardized protocols is a deliverable of the CROPINNO project, funded as a HORIZON Coordination and Support Action by the European Commission under its Horizon Europe (HE) Programme. It is produced in the scope of Tasks 1.5-1.6 within Work Package 1: Strengthening scientific capacity. This document describes standardized genotyping and phenotyping protocols developed by CROPINNO partners and made available to IFVCNS researchers. Report on standardized protocols was drafted by FZJ and UNIPD, leaders of the tasks 1.5 and 1.6, respectively, with input from all partners. The following are included: 2.1.1 Protocols for quantification of phenotypic differences in root and shoot traits using novel phenotyping methods developed at FZJ; 2.1.2 Protocol for phenotyping for drought tolerance in controlled conditions developed at UROS; 2.1.3 Protocol for phenotyping for biotic stress tolerance combined with drought response using imaging analyses obtained with near distance sensors developed at CISC; 2.2.1 Protocol for transcriptome analysis of drought stressed plants for detection of possible stress-induced epigenetic changes and development of epi-QTLs developed at UNIPD; 2.2.2 Protocol for whole genome SNP analysis for development and optimization of SNP-based markers for further use in crop improvement programs developed at UROS; 2.2.3 Protocol for the design of networks of candidate genes for drought tolerance developed at UROS.
