EFFECT OF 8-WEEKS MIXED TECHNICAL FOOTBALL TRAINING ON SPEED DRIBBLING, LONG PASSING AND POWER SHOOTING U-17 MALE FOOTBALL PROJECT PLAYERS OF METAHARA TOWN

ADVISOR: EDOSA JABESA (ASS PRO) A recent study looked at how a varied technical program lasting eight weeks affected some technical skill variables in male football project players from Metahara U-17. All 30 male football players from the project were randomly assigned to one of two groups using an experimental research design and a quantitative research approach. The experimental group (EG) consisted of 15 players, while the control group (CG) consisted of the remaining 15 players selected through census sampling techniques. For eight weeks, EG participated in mixed technical training, whereas CG would not participate in any mixed technical football training. Three days of 45-minute sessions each week made up the training curriculum. The technical skills of long passing, power shooting, and speed dribbling were assessed at the start of the training program (pre-test) and at the end (post-test). The researchers analysed the gathered data using the most recent version of the SPSS software and applied paired and independent sample t-tests with a significance threshold of 0.05. The findings showed that all technical skills among the EG considerably improved (p&lt;0.05) following the mixed technical football training program. Additionally, based on independent t-tests, the EG's post-test performance on a few technical abilities significantly outperformed the CG's post-test performance. These results imply that the improvement of technical skills in football players was significantly impacted by eight weeks of varied technical football instruction. Coaches may use the study's conclusions to help them create mixed technical football training plans that foster the growth of technical skills.<br> Keywords: speed dribbling, long passing, power shooting, football skills.
