Systemic Racism Outlived the Civil Rights Movement
This paper argues that while the Civil Rights Movement successfully dismantled legal segregation, it failed to eradicate systemic racism, which persists through redlining, unequal school funding, and discriminatory labor practices. By analyzing historical policies and modern disparities in housing, education, and criminal justice, the study demonstrates how race-neutral laws perpetuate inequality. Ultimately, it calls for structural reforms to address the unfinished legacy of racial injustice in America.
