This study, conducted in 2023 in partnership with the University of Pennsylvania Perelman School of Medicine, found that adults who underwent VCUG in childhood were significantly more likely to completely avoid gynecological and urological care later in life - evidence of severe and persistent traumatic effects on future healthcare engagement.
