Enhanced Mode Measurement Method of Vortex Electromagnetic Wave With Partial Aperture Reception
As a new degree of freedom of electromagnetic waves, orbital angular momentum has been widely used in many fields. The traditional mode measurement method of vortex electromagnetic waves is based on the full aperture reception. However, due to the divergence of vortex electromagnetic waves, the full aperture reception is unsuitable for practical applications. Considering the exponential function form and the aperture symmetry property of the receiving field of vortex electromagnetic waves, we propose a novel mode measurement method with partial aperture reception. Simulation results show that the proposed method can realize the mode measurement of vortex electromagnetic waves with a smaller receiving aperture and has better communication performance compared with other existing mode measurement methods.
