Joint Design of Beamforming and IRS Manipulation for Secure Transmission in ISAC System With CRB Constraint
This letter investigates a joint design for the integrated sensing and communication (ISAC) that leverages intelligent reflecting surfaces (IRS), where beamforming at the base station and IRS reflection coefficients are jointly optimized. Under constraints that include radar Cramér-Rao bound (CRB), transmit power limitations, and secrecy leakage restrictions imposed by potential eavesdroppers, the proposed IRS-aided scheme effectively enhances communication performance, radar parameter estimation accuracy, and physical-layer security. Simulation results demonstrate that the IRS-aided ISAC significantly improves overall communication coverage and radar sensing performance, while it also reduces the risk of eavesdropping. These results confirm the synergistic advantages provided by IRS and multi-antenna technologies and verify the effectiveness and practicality of the designed scheme.
