Factors Driving Investment Behaviour of Software Professionals

Abstract: Investor in the current dynamic business world and financial markets has a wide choice of investment avenues to choose, but due to lack of sufficient knowledge, experience or guidance, he/she may not take right decision while investing. Investors would have different objectives in investing their surplus hard earned money and consider various parameters in selecting a particular avenue to invest. This paper examines the motivating factors that influence the software professionals in choosing different investment avenues in Chennai city. The study reveals that there is no significant difference between the motivating factors influencing the investment behaviour of the investors in the study area.
