From "Rachaph" to Relativity - Genesis, Harmonics, and the Trinity as the Cosmos's Fundamental Resonance
This work explores the analogy between the opening triad of Genesis (motion, word, light) and the wave-structured character of creation uncovered in modern physics. Drawing from biblical exegesis (Douay–Rheims), patristic and scholastic theology (Basil, Augustine, Aquinas), and the history of physics (Maxwellian electromagnetism, relativity, quantum wave mechanics, Lemaître’s cosmology), the study develops a disciplined analogy: amplitude (source), wavelength/form (Word), and frequency (Spirit) as created mirrors of the uncreated Trinity. The paper situates this analogy within Catholic teaching on faith and reason (CCC 159), distinguishing fittingness from proof, and pedagogy from concordism. An appendix examines the symbolic sequence 3–6–9 in the context of electrodynamics, harmonic resonance, and three-phase systems, reinterpreting Tesla’s remarks as a heuristic intuition of oscillatory order rather than esoteric numerology. The overarching aim is theological: to show how faith and reason converge in a pedagogy of truth—from image, to concept, to mathematics, to praise—revealing creation itself as resonance and doxology.
