Gödel, Everett, Wheeler: Ontological Branching and the Emergence of Physical Law
This article presents a speculative framework in which quantum indeterminacy is viewed as a physical expression of Gödelian incompleteness. The Universe is modeled as evolving through a hierarchy of logical systems, each resolving undecidable propositions inherited from previous levels. Rather than assuming fixed physical laws, symmetries and dynamics are treated as emergent structures—crystallizing through transitions between logical layers. Integrating Gödel's incompleteness theorem, Everett's many-worlds interpretation, and Wheeler’s vision of "Law without Law", this approach reframes quantum branching as ontological rather than epistemic. The model suggests testable consequences, including potential variations in fundamental constants and anomalies in the cosmic microwave background. This is a preliminary draft intended to outline the core structure of the proposal. A more detailed and formal development is currently in preparation.
