Spiral-Time-Induced Anisotropic Phase Modulation as an Explanation for Cold Spot Anomalies in the Cosmic Microwave Background
This whitepaper presents a novel explanation for the cold spot anomaly observed in the Cosmic Microwave Background (CMB). While traditional cosmological models struggle to account for the localized suppression of temperature fluctuations at angular scales around 5°, this work proposes a geometric mechanism rooted in the theory of spiral time. The model introduces a toroidal modulation of the time dimension during the inflationary epoch, leading to anisotropic phase shifts in primordial scalar field fluctuations. These modulations imprint localized depressions in the power spectrum without invoking new particles or exotic topological features. The approach is fully analytic, quantitatively consistent with observed anomalies, and delivers testable predictions for future cosmological observations. Spiral time emerges as a minimal, geometry-based correction to the standard model of cosmology, capable of explaining the CMB cold spot through deterministic structure rather than statistical outliers.
