Structural Impact of the R175H Mutation on the TP53 Tumor Suppressor Protein: An In Silico Study
This study investigates the structural impact of the R175H mutation on the TP53 tumor suppressor protein using computational (in silico) methods. By applying bioinformatics tools, molecular modeling platforms, and protein visualization software, the work demonstrates how the R175H mutation disrupts TP53’s structure and potential function. The study also highlights the value of in silico modeling as a predictive tool for understanding disease-associated mutations and as a foundation for guiding experimental cancer research. Insights from this work may contribute to the design of therapies aimed at restoring or compensating for defective p53 activity in cancer patients.
