Tele-enfermería en el primer nivel de atención en enfermedades cardiovasculares

The research addresses the impact of tele-nursing at the primary level of care for cardiovascular diseases, highlighting its potential to overcome geographical barriers and improve care in rural areas. This approach is presented as an innovative response to the high prevalence of these diseases and the challenges in accessing medical services, enhancing treatment adherence, continuous monitoring, and health education. The study aimed to analyze the relevance of information technologies in tele-nursing practice and their contribution to the management of cardiovascular diseases. A methodology based on a descriptive bibliographic review was employed, consulting scientific sources from 2019 to 2024 in databases such as Scopus, Medline, and CINAHL. The results show that tools like telemonitoring, mobile applications, and virtual consultations have optimized self-care and therapeutic adherence, reducing hospitalizations and costs. However, barriers such as resistance to change, technological limitations, and the lack of standardized care protocols were identified. In conclusion, tele-nursing represents a viable solution to improve primary health care, especially in contexts with limited resources. Future lines of research propose investigating its impact on other chronic diseases and developing hybrid models that integrate in-person and remote care, maximizing the benefits of this innovative tool.
