Salud mental en universitarios postpandemia: revisión de estrategias institucionales y discursos educativos

The article "Mental Health in University Students Post-Pandemic: A Review of Institutional Strategies and Educational Discourses" analyzes how universities have addressed the mental health of their students following the COVID-19 pandemic. The research reviews the institutional strategies implemented and the educational discourses that have emerged in response to students' growing needs for emotional support. The results indicate that, despite progress in the integration of online psychological services and raising awareness about the importance of mental health, significant challenges remain. The pandemic exacerbated pre-existing problems such as anxiety and depression, leading universities to strengthen their psychological support programs. However, a lack of resources, the stigma associated with emotional problems, and the high demand for services remain significant obstacles. Successful strategies include the creation of emotional support spaces and the integration of mental health into academic curricula. However, the research highlights the need for a more structured and sustainable approach that involves the entire university community and ensures equitable coverage for all students. Recommendations include expanding available resources, training staff, and strengthening the integration of mental health into the academic environment.
