El buen gobierno de Nezahualcóyotl en la «Historia de la nación chichimeca»

This essay seeks to develop an interpretative approach towards a widely studied chronicle, the History of the Chichimeca Nation written by Fernando de Alva Ixtlilxóchitl, especially his narration about the figure of Nezahualcóyotl. To this purpose, we will dedicate two sections. The first presents a description of the author and the critical studies around his work. The second posits certain elements related to Nezahualcoyotl’s good governance (political, legal, and administrative) in order to propose alternative horizons to interpret its scopes and contents
