Salud Mental para el desempeño laboral de los trabajadores de la empresa Cedal-Ecuador

Cedal-Ecuador has not implemented strategies for the achievement of positive mental health in its workers. Consequently, this study assesses how the lack of attention to mental health affects work performance. For this purpose, a mixed methodology was used to collect key data to analyze the situation of employees in relation to their psychological well-being. The results revealed that, in a first approach, workers are not clear about what mental health implies, as they need examples or brief explanations to understand the concept. Although most value the importance of physical health, they recognize that they could improve their performance if mental health issues were addressed. However, many feel inhibited about reporting these difficulties to their superiors. In conclusion, psychological well-being not only increases individual efficiency, but also fosters a collaborative and harmonious work environment. Workers with an optimal state of mental health demonstrated greater effectiveness in their tasks, reflecting a remarkable ability to focus, solve problems and make good decisions.
