Exposes the conceptual analysis of the term Fineness in the produc-tion of the New Spain writer. The allusion of finenesses has been constant in the lyric, dramaturgy and prose of Sor Juana Inés de la Cruz. Is visible the admiration that the poetess expressed for the viceroys Tomás de la Cerda and María Luisa Manrique, to whom she dedicated sonnets and romances, in addition to attribut-ing the finenesses to their presence in New Spain; The loa that precedes Festejo delos empeños de una casa describes through representation on stage the value of the finenesses; Carta Atenagórica debates about the demonstration of Christ’s finenesses, a discussion that later resulted in Respuesta a Sor Filotea de la Cruz. The interpretive method was based on the intertextual relation of the writer’s work. It concludes that Sor Juana Inés de la Cruz conceptualize, from literary production and personal relationships, a lyrical definition of the term Finesse
