The Seamless Platform : More than a website: Connecting Älmhult’s diverse communities through Godsmagasinet

The Seamless Platform is a thesis project that explores and envisions a future scenario for Godsmagasinet building located in Älmhult as a vibrant social hub where people from diverse backgrounds and generations can gather around food, drinks, and culture. The design aim is to create a touchpoint of a service that fosters inclusivity and meaningful community engagement, bridging cultural and social differences through shared experiences. Developed using co-design principles, the website was created and tested in collaboration with key stakeholders to ensure it reflects the values, needs, and aspirations of the local community. Furthermore, the thesis examines how co-designing can enhance cross-cultural communication and collaboration, making the website a space that unites individuals beyond physical and social barriers. The final outcome is a platform and vision for a possible Godsmagasinet’s scenario.
