Görünümle İlişkili Sosyal Medya Bilinci, Mahremiyet Bilinci ve Dinî Tutum İlişkisi Üzerine Bir İnceleme

This study aims to examine the relationships between appearance-related social media awareness, privacy awareness, and religious attitude. Conducted within the framework of a quantitative research design and employing a correlational survey model, the study’s sample consists of students from Isparta University of Applied Sciences, Süleyman Demirel University, and Burdur Mehmet Akif Ersoy University who voluntarily participated in the research. The findings indicate that participants exhibit moderate levels of religious attitude and appearance-related social media awareness, while their overall privacy awareness is at a high level. The results further demonstrate that there is no statistically significant relationship between participants’ overall religious attitude scores and their appearance-related social media awareness or privacy awareness. However, a significant positive correlation was found between appearance-related social media awareness and privacy awareness. According to the regression analysis, the proposed model was statistically significant, with religious attitude and privacy awareness accounting for 6.5% of the variance in appearance-related social media awareness. While privacy awareness was identified as a significant and positive predictor of appearance-related social media awareness, religious attitude did not emerge as a significant predictor of this awareness.
