Análisis comparativo de normativas internacionales sobre la gestión del tiempo de pantalla en las escuelas

The increasing use of digital technology in schools presents benefits, but also risks to students' physical and mental health, such as sleep problems and emotional well-being. The study analyzes international regulations on the management of screen time in schools and their impact on the educational environment. A qualitative approach was assumed and a documentary analysis was performed, gathering information from various sources such as scientific articles, books and international regulations. A comparative analysis of the regulations identified was carried out to evaluate their impact on the management of screen time in schools. Among the results, it was established that the excessive use of screens is related to a decrease in academic performance and health problems, such as sleep disorders, stress and sedentary lifestyles. The regulations analyzed, such as ISO 21001:2018 and ISO 45001:2018, propose frameworks for managing screen time, balancing technological use with students' physical and academic well-being. Organizations such as WHO and UNESCO highlight the importance of limiting screen time and promoting physical activity. In conclusion, these regulations made it possible to establish strategies that can be applied in schools to improve screen time management.
