Inteligencia emocional y creatividad en el rendimiento académico

Emotional intelligence and creativity are essential competencies for the integral development and academic performance of students, as they enhance skills such as self-regulation, attention, memory, critical thinking and problem solving. However, traditional educational systems tend to undervalue them, focusing on memorization instead of promoting meaningful and adaptive learning. This study highlights that emotional intelligence manages emotions, improves resilience and strengthens interpersonal relationships, while creativity fosters cognitive flexibility, divergent thinking and innovation. Both skills interact synergistically, promoting the cognitive and emotional development necessary to face complex challenges. Therefore, it is proposed to implement pedagogical strategies that integrate activities such as emotional self-regulation, applied creativity and open-ended problem solving, promoting dynamic and inclusive learning. In addition, longitudinal research is recommended to analyze the impact of these competencies in different educational contexts, also considering the role of technology as a tool to enhance their development. These actions would contribute to the design of innovative and more inclusive educational models, ensuring that students are prepared for the challenges of the future and the current professional environment.
